Do You Watch Battlestar Galactica?

This is the best TV show I've ever watched!
DH finally got me to watch it, and I've been hooked ever since. I'm almost up to date - I just have to watch the first episode of this current season.

Everything about this show is excellent - the writing, acting, etc. I usually can't watch so many episodes of one show back to back, but if I could have, I think I would have watched all the seasons back to back!!! (I practically did).

Yes, although it's far from perfect, or the best show I've ever watched. Sometimes I think it can be a little heavy-handed in its attempts to be the dark "anti-Trek," but the acting is always superb.

DH keeps bothering me with this question:
The premise of the show is that Galactica survived b/c they weren't networked. So how did Pegasus survive?

I told him that even though most ships were wiped out, odds are that someone's going to survive - after all, there are several ships (cloud nine, etc.) that are part of the fleet.

Does that make sense?

I like the original with Lorne Greene that was dubbed "Bonanza In Outer Space"

Have not seen the new one as not a big fan of sci fi

I was going to say the same thing, JRB. I like my share of sci-fi, but I never label BSG as "sci-fi." It's a drama that happens to take place in space.

That is very cool, Tiff!!

Tiff, you work on the show? DO tell.

...as much as you can, anyway.

Yeah, especially anything about Jamie Bamber. Could he be any hotter???

There are a few hotties on that show--both guys and gals, but Mr. Bamber makes me very weak in the knees.

MYB and Mirramar, check your PMs.

I wouldn't say my job is to be a fluffer because that would imply I get PAID to do it when really I('d) do it for free, darling.

i love this show... i haven't watched any of Season 4 due to the fact i only watch this show on DVD and i'm waiting to watch season 4 on dvd all at once.. instead of only the first half... but i had to watch the series finale... and man.. what an amazing finale... Laura Roslin's death was heartbreaking and touching and almost had me shed a tear and having Adama with her was just more emotional... the final ten minutes was masterful storytelling with a wonderful WONDERFUL ending...

i love that this show wasn't your typical science fiction show... there were no aliens creatures... just a very human drama set in space... i will miss this show and hope that more shows on TV can be written so well and that most shows END appropriately instead of just going and going and going...

I think this was the most successful and satisfying series finale I have ever seen. Fantastic conclusion.
