it can take their coffee, or others, but is a seperate company. I don't get them in a "plan" as I don't want them automatically coming, but I like it as I can make so many different things, and I am buying much less Starbuck's.......and I'll admit it, when I bought it, the lady at the store forgot to charge me for it, only charged me for the coffee........so I got it free. I guess that makes me evil, oh well.

We have a similar machine called Senseo.
I guess it works in about the same way.

Do you have to use their own coffee/tea/chocolate bags? Or can you use someone elses?

BF gave me the Tassimo for Christmas last year, and it's been used twice daily ever since. I LOVE it. My favorite are the Cappacino's...Gevalia. I did call recently and ask about future coffees and the girl said they should be releasing flavored coffee such as hazelnut this month....I hope so. I'd recommend the machine to anyone who needs their daily coffee. I've saved a lot of money by not going to Starbucks as often.

I have the Senseo and quite like it. It's, as with many of these things, dependent upon which coffee you buy.
I also bought a non-Phillips item that lets you put your own coffee into the Senseo to brew single cups. It didn't work so well until I finally bought a cappuccino tamper (for my cap machine) and used it on the Senseo filter. It works like a charm and makes much better coffee now.
When I'm brewing for multiple people, though, I still do the old hot water/French press/carafe method.

bway, I just never liked the taste of the Senseo products, this tastes much better.....I tried Senseo first, returned it, then tried Melitta...returned that. This is the only one that for me, tastes good.

Undi, dear, nice to see you!

Nom, perhaps whe should pianissimo together one of these days, if I may be so bold......

Yesterday I Tassimoed 4 times, two coffee, one cappuchino, and one hot chocolate.........omg, I have to start going to TA.

And, I am Tassimoing as I type!

In Budapest, across from the opera house was a store that sold this fancy Italian type of Tassimo thing, and I almost bought one, until I realized getting the discs might be a problem...as they are not sold in the US.

Undi, it's my dirty little secret... ;o)
