I'll always have love for Depeche Mode.

Yes.
Total 80s cheese, total brilliance.
My favorites are Strangelove and Shake the Disease.
I wouldn't call Depeche Mode 80s cheese.
Of course I have love for them.

Oh, c'mon, some of the beats? They're cheesy. Brilliant, but loud and cheesy and the definition of 80s music. See "Just Can't Get Enough" and "Master and Servant."
I suppose, but I think they overcame that and became a genre defining New Age band which elevates them above the cheesy label.
See Personal Jesus.
See what being at home on a Saturday night on BWW does to us?

I know, you're telling me!
Personal Jesus is great, as is Policy of Truth - another one of my favorites. Throw on the entire Some Great Reward album and I'm good to go.
Well, SweetQ's idiotic thread has certainly taken the attention away from David Gahan hasn't it?
they are fabulous......and I remember many a sweaty night in the 80's with them in the background......LOVE THEM!

When you're born a lover
You're born to suffer
I love it that on this board not only are there theater nerds, but 80's nerds as well. Alas, I am not alone in the world :).
