Posted this elsewhere but thought a dedicated thread might get some more response.
I'm leaving this Friday to go out of town for the weekend and had asked two friends of mine to keep my dog for me.
Turns out the friends I thought would keep my dog have decided to just not answer me. I would assume that's the passive agressive way to say no, which is fine. So now daddy Bwaysinger needs to find a kennel.
I think I found one that sounds REALLY excellent (it's called Run Spot Run) and it's not even that expensive ($35/day).
Anyone else have any fallback contingencies they know of in case this place is booked?
Thanks!

Run Spot Run is never fully booked--it's a very large facility and it's very well run.
Miss Holly stays there when we're going away for extended periods and she tears up the stairs when we go there and looks longingly over her shoulder when we leave.
The man who runs it is a real dog person, and the guys who work there are terrific. The never lose their cool, even when the dogs do.
They have large playrooms with full-spectrum lighting (simulates daylight) and they hose them down frequently. There's one for the bigger dogs and one for the smaller dogs--and a plexiglass-enclosed "cool-down pen," for dogs who misbehave.
Miss Holly spends much of her time at Run Spot Run in the cool-down pen.
Thanks, PJ! I don't know why I didn't think to just ask you privately! Miss Holly and my boy have got to meet you guys soon!
She would LOVE him--and terrorize him at the same time, which is Miss Holly's way of showing love. Grrrrr!
I think you underestimate the hyperactivity level of my dog. He's never met a dog (or a human) he didn't love and try to manipulate in some way.
Me, he loves and he hates. He also loves to act out to show me I'm not paying him the right kind of attention.
Have you done any dog training with him yet? Down-stays do wonders!
