by who, art? by what means? she's not gonna driop out while she's a mere 100+ pledged delegates behind and the supes are not gonna tip their hats before the convention and even if they do, they won't be enough to put bammy over the top.
he's got 1414 pledged delegates. say he wins the rest of the states (566 delegates) by ten points. not very likely, but possible. that gives him 1725.
he still needs 299 supes to get to 2024. that's 38% of the supes. no way you get that many to commit before the convention and even if they do, i still say she fights to the floor and forces a vote.
they cannot "force" her out.

i dont need al ****ing gore to swoop down at the last minute and screw everything up (again).
I'm confused. When was the last time Al Gore swooped in at the last minute and screwed everything up?
I wouldn't discount a Gore-led ticket. I'd pay full price!

I hope something does happen that lets Gore step in without alienating everyone, because , as it stands now, unless Obama does something amazing to change my mind, I will NEVER support Obama.
And this comes from someone who has never voted Republican.

not supporting obama and actually going out and voting republican are two very different things southflmarc. i hope for your sake you'd just sit the election out, which i completely respect and understand.
but more and more people i speak to seem to be out for that "revenge vote"... so john mcbush is just 1 step closer to the white house. and us dems continue to make things worse and worse for ourselves...

Ted Kennedy! I've even got his slogan: We're dying for a man like Ted to take the wheel!
And Pab I don't think you understand how democracy works. We selected delegates to pick our candidate. Some are locked in to a first round vote, but after than first vote, if no candidate is selected they are free to vote however they choose. There's nothing underhanded about it.

Posted: 3/26/08 at 11:36amjoe, i understand democracy just fine thanks... and i know how the process work... i was just heated when i wrote my post. just seems a bit criminal to me, the whole al gore thing. but whatever... like i said, i'll take clinton/obama before i'll vote for gore/anyone. hell i'll even settle for clinton/edwards.

I need to clarify what I wrote.
I said I could never support him - I never said I would vote against him.
I've worked campaigns before I was old enough to vote - considering the way he claims to be for change and yet his actions show he is just the same as everyone else - except he's being hypocritical about it - just means I can't work his campaign.
When it comes to my vote - there are far more important issues to this election - The Supreme Court for starters - I won't like it , but I will vote Democratic.
I'm really hoping there is another alternative.
Where are you Al?
