I'll give him much- the guy is hot as hell.
Looks like the Spiderman franchise has gotten a lot of attention lately, eh?

Donald is really talented and really funny but I am sick to death of these web campaigns. I recently read about a facebook campaign to get Dolly Parton on the cover of French Vogue. Why? No reason.
Besides, if there is a superhero from the show Community it is Abed/Danny Pudi.

JohnBoy, Sam Raimi, the director of the series, was upset at how Sony made so many changes to his original vision in the third movie, adding villains, etc. He bit his tongue though let stuff get very campy (in a bad way) in the third film that was incredibly cringe-inducing but the producers really did wreck Sam's movie for putting too many villains in the third film.
The fourth movie was still in development and Sam was very specific about what villains and characters he wanted but again the studio bucked him and they played poker. Then one day Sony announced the casting of John Malkovich as Vulture and Ann Hathaway as his daughter. I am pretty certain Sam was against it because the next day he announced he would leave and Tobey, being close to Sam, did the same. It was considered strategy on Sony's part because the plan all along seemed to be to rewind the entire franchise to when Peter Parker/Spiderman is in high school, and they found a convenient way to remove the original star and director via negotiation.
Makes sense? No, it just seems like trying a studio trying to milk more money. Fox is essentially doing the same with X-Men with prequels in the works.
