Some TV personalities also did perform in versions of old favorites in the 1930's & 40's

Bud Collyer of Beat The Clock was the voice of Superman on radio

William Conrad who played the portly P.I. in Cannon was the voice of Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke on radio

Gordon Jenkins who played Mike the Cop on Abbott & Costello was the voice of the Green Hornet in the 1930's serial al though the role was played by someone else.

I always loved to hear William Conrad say, "It's a chancy job. It makes a man watchful...and a little lonely."

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.
