well I searched and nothing came up....

anyone see this last night? I LOVE IT! Loved that they kept the same musica, and that the Tardis looks basically like the original......love that the actor who plays Who I find strangly sexy. I cannot wait til next Friday.

My partner watched it and announced...."this is so hokey, so 1970's".....and I said that's the point!

This is the series with Christopher Eccleston, yes? It's really hokey sometimes, but it's so darn cute. :)

Not that I, uh...watched it before it got into the States or anything. *cough*

I adored it! I was a fan of the original, and I love this version! (I was glued to the TV for the whole 2 hours.) I can't wait for the next episode!

I find it very similar in hokiness to the original, and love it for that.

I wonder if mine will work, and if we were thinking of the same guy... (Yay, Tom Baker!)

Well, now that you edited your post, people won't know what I'm talking about...

Elphaba posted a broken link and said, "My favorite Dr. Who" or something along those lines. =)

Wait a minute, is America getting the season with Christopher Eccleston, or the brand-spankin' newer season with David Tennant? (The BBC and Canadian Broadcasting Channel aired Eccleston's only season last year, and aired the premiere episode introducing David Tennant this past December, as a Christmas special. If you guys are getting David Tennant's new season already, I'll be extremely jealous!)

Whew! I was going to beg someone to tape the episodes and mail them to me, if it was Tennant.

Eccleston's a very cool, serious and intense Dr. Who. I think he's a wonderful actor (and wish he would've played Silas in The Da Vinci Code). And he's got pretty good chemistry with Billie Piper. I've only seen the Christmas special intro of David Tennant; he plays the Doctor a bit sillier and dead-pan but he's equally charismatic.

You guys are lucky to see Eccleston now!

I'm so glad the new ones finally made it here! Grew up with endless PBS reruns of the old series. Yay Tom Baker!

I thought Eccleston was a very interesting Doctor and look forward to the rest of the series.
Also loved that they kept the old music.

I didn't start watching til midnight, but saw in the listings it started at 11 (maybe earlier?). How many episodes did they show last night? How many in the Eccleston series altogether?

They showed two episodes. The premiere ("Rose") and the next ep ("The End of the World"). It looks like there'll be 13 episodes in this first season.
