Is drama as plausible means of therapy? If so, how does this work? Can drama be a powerful potential for healing? If so, is it effective?

I'm no expert, but I believe theatre can be stress relieving. I was stressed and angry yesterday, and my character had an angry line and I put the anger into the line and people were shocked. It also (for most people) puts them on a high which can make them feel happier. You do hafta know when to seperate drama and real life. (sounds obvious but in "cabaret" one man punched another guys who was PLAYING a Nazi)

Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on." - from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

There is such a thing as arts therapy, where trained professionals help you get through any problems you may have, but I don't think using class, or a performance to relieve personal issues is good. You end up using your audience or fellow actors to deal with your problems. An audience pays to see your character, not you.
If you really have things you need to deal with, check out a qualified arts therapist.

It's hot and it's monotonous. I want my glasses.

How many frickin dissertations are you working on at once?

On a side note, does this look right to anybody?

Theorem : All positive integers are equal.
Proof : Sufficient to show that for any two positive integers, A and B,
A = B. Further, it is sufficient to show that for all N ] 0, if A
and B (positive integers) satisfy (MAX(A, B) = N) then A = B.

Proceed by induction.

If N = 1, then A and B, being positive integers, must both be 1.
So A = B.

Assume that the theorem is true for some value k. Take A and B
with MAX(A, B) = k+1. Then MAX((A-1), (B-1)) = k. And hence
(A-1) = (B-1). Consequently, A = B.

Looks good to me Namo...but I'm horrible at math so i wouldn't know the difference. re: re: re: re: re: Drama as Therapy HOw about drama can be "therapy" to different people if they are so accustomed to having it as an outlet, like me?

Of course Drama is therapy. Why else would it have existed since ancient Greece? It is a way for the audience to relate to situations and emotions that they see in their own lives in a darkened environment. It is a way for the actors to discover aspects of human nature that may give them insights into their own lives. It is called CATHARSIS.

PEACE.
