Posted: 1/8/06 at 3:23pmI have this very small dot of dry skin on the edge of my lip. Could this be a cold sore? It's a little red and dry...doesn't seem to be anything major but someone looked at it anyway when I asked and mentioned a cold sore...just a little worried because I read it isn't curable...I know no one can give a diagnosis but just asking for assurance.

cold sores hurt like Hell.....if it doesn't hurt or itch, then it probably isn't.
Cold sores DO heal....it's just the herpes simplex virus that goes dormant.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

Posted: 1/8/06 at 3:39pmmost likely....keep an eye on it.......if it gets worse, or doesn't go away see your doctor.......trust me, if you ever get a cold sore, you'll know.

Posted: 1/8/06 at 5:14pmthere's this stuff from a brand called "got2b" i use called "pore me" that helps clear up dry patches, also dove does wonders for dry skin.
