The mixed media work of pre-professional visual arts students of Usdan Center's "Portfolio Preparation Track" program will be exhibited at The Lobby Gallery at 430 Park Avenue, ground floor, opening February 12 and running through March 8, 2013. The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey, Jackie Hoffman, Jane Monheit and Seth Rudetsky, has introduced the arts to more than 60,000 young people, many on scholarship.
"Duality" connotes the struggle to balance the forces of good and evil. The "Portfolio Preparation Track" program prepares students for college arts programs.
Usdan's next Open House for its 2013, 46th season, is Wednesday February 20 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Students from NYC and throughout the Tri-State Area annually attend its 200-acre woodland campus on Long Island, transported by air-conditioned buses.
