I thought that was hilarious when it aired. When I saw Sakis perform at the 2004 Eurovision, my first thought was that he is the Greek Ricky Martin. Looks like I wasn't the only one. LOL

Which reminds me....what happened to Tarkan? Is he still recording? I think he's out of the closet.

I remember hearing about it when I was in Germany. He had just released Simarik and it was the hot new song.

I remember shortly after, Mambo No. 5 hit the scene. I heard it non-stop all summer in Germany and London and then it hit the US charts the week I returned to the States. The funny thing was, when I returned to London in 2001, a friend of mine and I were watching Top of the Pops. She was arguing with me about how Americans simply do not have good taste in music, blah blah blah. Right in the middle of her speech, the number 1 song in the UK was aired......Mambo No. 5 by Bob the Builder. She quickly deflated.
