Ken Tucker says, "I'm not a big Pushing Daisies fan, but that show's Kristin Chenoweth is a complete charmer, as far as I'm concerned," and Gillian Flynn says, "Love, love, love the Chenoweth--she's like a sunshine-kitten lollipop" in "Our Emmy Wish List" in the June 13 issue of "Entertainment Weekly."
I can support that! And I hope Pushing Daisies gets a bunch of noms. That and Ugly Betty.
And can we PLEASE get some Battlestar Galactica noms FINALLY?
Sci fi shows don't get a lot of Emmy nods. I don't remember too many acting Emmys given out for the Star Trek spinoffs.
they don't get acting nominations but they do get techninal noms. Voyager got 20 some nominations during its 7 year run (winning 6)
But Battlestar is as good as any other drama on tv. It just happens to be set in space.
Chenoweth does deserve an Emmy nod, she truly has made Oliver shine (and the role it's clearly written to her strengths), and I honestly can't get enough of her in PUSHING DAISIES. She has so much chemistry with Anna Friel too, and her scenes with Ellen Greene and Swoozie Kurtz are priceless. I doubt Emmys will recognize her (these are the same people who denied Jane Krakowski and Ana Ortiz a nomination last year, the same ones who gave Katherine Heigl an Emmy over Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson) but one can only hope, she sure deserves it.
I really hope she does get a nomination. I feel bad saying this, but Kristin's appeal was totally lost on me until seeing her as Olive on Pushing Daisies. She's so cute and funny without being cloying, and I can't get enough of her on the show. It's a great character for her.

Yes, but this year can be different! C'mon Ana and Jane!
