I think this could be FAB casting!!

And, in related news, I hear that GOF is without a doubt the best HP film. It looks amazing!

Ohhhh, but I love Imelda Staunton. If she plays Umbridge, I'll have to hate her forever! LOL!

And I am counting down the days until Goblet of Fire (three weeks, y'all!). Every time I see a commercial, I pee a little.

Then you'll hate the rest of the movies even more, harris. The books are only going to get longer, but the movies stay the same length.

And in my opinion, it's better that way. These movies need to be movies, not glorified books on tape. For example, we can cut a lot of Rita Skeeter and Harry's pondering of the challenges in the 4th book. We'd lose some fun moments, but that's what's needed.

And jrb, I heard about this a few days ago. Brilliant casting. Updated On: 10/28/05 at 05:44 PM

I agree plum but when they cut out MAJOR plot points then it's a problem , they dont have to be 100% the same as the book, but damn it put the important stuff in there

I was kind of sad about the lack of Shrieking Shack, too, but on its own terms the denouement of the 3rd movie was stitched together quite well. And man, I'll take that over the totally submissive lack of style evidenced by Chris Columbus.

true, but also the biggest plot hole was they never said how sirus broke out of prison ,

Does it really matter? The logistics of getting past the Dementors is exposition we could spare. What matters for the story is that he escaped Azkaban and was the first ever to do so. It makes him an instantly credible threat.

That we don't know how Sirius escapes isn't a plot hole, it's just the writers way of making sure we get to the most important information about Sirius...that he did not in fact give up Lily and James to Voldemort...now had that part been left out, that would be a plot hole.
The third movie was brilliant and much better than the first two.

"I hope you're all happy, keeping Alan off the team. Couldn't you, for once, open your minds and hearts and hear something that he couldn't see? I, for one, am glad that Alan is blind, so he can't see what, I am so sad to say, you can't hear." -Jerri Blank

It would be nice to see Anna Friel get her career back. She's very underrated.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Oooooo, I love Imelda!! I wouldn't have thought of her as Umbridge, but she's so great, I'm sure she could pull it off. (I always wanted Imelda and Hugh Laurie as the Weasleys, but too late for that.)

I think this would be great casting.

My problem with the "Prisoner" was that they left out the whole relationship of Sirius, and Lupin and Pettigrew and James...and the fact that THEY were the ones who created the Maurauder's Map, and that they were such close friends. I see the story of Harry Potter not only as the story of "the chosen one to defeat Voldemort" but also the story of a young boy coming of age and discovering his history and place in the wizarding world. He's searching for his family...and Remus and Sirus are links to that. That's what's I missed most in the movie translation.

Hooray! I called it two months ago on this board (around the time the 5th book came out elsewhere).
