EW, LuPone

So I just got my Entertainment Weekly in the mail. After taking a moment or two to bask in the glory that was the Jack/Kate (Lost) cover, something caught my eye. Flipping through the magazine I saw Patti's head floating next to other famous people's heads (from Faye Dunaway to Bigot O'Reily). After a quick reality check that this was not some kind of Return to Oz Mombi shi*, I read that the title - Pop Quiz: Celebrity Meltdowns. My eyes immediately shifted to Patti LuPone and her blurb beneath. Now imagine my surprise and confusion when I start to read, "Shut up! Fifty years ago we had you upside down with a...". The quote continued with various expletives and racial slurs. Now after a few seconds I finally realize that you're supposed to match the quote to each actor. Patti's was, of course, the infamous "Stop taking pictures" bit. Yet it still was rather strange to imagine such weak Michael Richards rants from such a brassy diva.

Oh, and though this is about someone from Broadway, I DO realize it's also entirely random and inane, so to off-topic it goes.

Hahaha, I read the subject line as "Eww, LuPone." As in, "ew, gross, LuPone." It took me a minute to realize it was an abbreviation.

But yeah, that as a Patti LuPone quote? That would be forever burned into my brain.

This is her second week in a row in EW. On the one with the Obama cover she has a picture in that bulls-eye section they always do.
