(AP) LOS ANGELES - Eddie Albert, the actor best known as the constantly befuddled city slicker-turned-farmer in television’s “Green Acres,” has died. He was 99.

Very sad.
Now, wasn't he in a sitcom with Stephanie Powers where he was a con-man and she was his lawyer-daughter who always got him out of trouble?
Okay, I am a little ashamed I know this, but Eddie Albert wasn't in Feather and Father with Stephanie Powers. That was Harold Gould (Rhoda's dad). I think the series may have been a spin off of Switch which did star Eddie Albert and Robert Wagner.
Let's not forget he was the original star of the musical "On Your Toes" in 1939 with Vera Zorina.
Thank you PalJoey.

My thoughts and prayers are with his parents at this time of loss.
I hope your thoughts and prayers have a shovel

I hate to correct the usually accurate PalJoey, but Ray Bolger was the star of ON YOUR TOES. Eddie Albert was the star of BOYS FROM SYRACUSE, playing one of the Antipholus twins (the other was Ronald Graham. The Dromio twins were Jimmy Savo and Teddy Hart - brother of Lorenz).

He also replaced Robert Preston in THE MUSIC MAN - a job I wouldn't want.
I have also discovered that the date for International Earth Day was picked partially in honor of his birthday.
Very sad to hear this.
Yes, he was certainly in The Boys From Syracuse, because I remember researching it, when I did the role a couple of years back. Have no comprehension of FindingNamo's comment.
I loved him in "Roman Holiday", where he played Gregory Peck's photographer friend. He had such a warm, loveable quality about him.
I'm glad he lived as long as he did. May he rest in peace.
