(Sorry if this is a double post - I did search.)

Is anyone else excited about this movie? Yes, it will probably have some stupid references thrown in for the kids, but overall, I think it should be a pretty good film!

(Cast includes Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Susan Sarandon, Idina Menzel, Julie Andrews, and Paige O'Hara.)

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE! Yes, I fully expect corny-ness, but it reminds me of the Disney fairy tales I loved when I was little. And the trailer cracks me up:)

I admit it...I've probably never been more excited for a movie. The sheer idea of it is great, and then they had to throw in four of my favorite people - James Marsden, Amy Adams, Idina Menzel, and Patrick Dempsey. The rest of the cast isn't so bad, either.

One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

I am so pumped for this one. Everytime I go to the movies I pray that this is one of the previews...then when it is, my friends and I giggle with delight.

This movie does look pretty great! It will most likely be very cute. I am excited (it helps that it stars a very attractive man!).

I also love that it starts as classic animation!

Erika---How's the music for it? That's my one reservation right now. I think the idea is very appealing, and the trailer looks great... but (as usual with a movie musical these days) the songs are conspicuously M.I.A. from the ads.

I think the use of music will either push this over the top (in a good way) or sink it like a stone.

So I'm curious if it's any good. I hope so.

Damn, this would have been the perfect project for Howard Ashman. In his hands, we'd have a guaranteed a brilliant hit AND a classic.

b12b: To be honest, I only know a couple of the songs, and they're the groups ones, as I only participated in recording those. What I heard sounded great, though! I suppose the proof will be in the pudding. (Although SS told me he saw the finished cut, and he thought it came out great, and that apparently preview audiences really love it...)

I saw the previews before HAIRSPRAY (blech!) and I must say that this and SWEENEY TODD are the only movies so far that I'm looking forward to seeing this holiday season.

I saw a preview before PotC3. It looks interesting. I love the cast.

ahh I can't wait for this movie! It's less than 95 days away! Yes, I'm counting. hehe.

Does anyone happen to know how big of a part Idina Menzel has?...I've been curious.
