I know this isn't really a video game playing board. lol But has anyone happened to play Epic Mickey? It looks fantastic! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.
There are a few of us on here that play :)
Epic Mickey wasn't nearly the game I was hoping for. I haven't been able to bring myself to finish yet and I've read the second half of the game is better. Read some of the reviews before going out and deciding to buy it.

I heard a review on NPR that trashed it to high heaven for being loaded with potential and no fun to play.
I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. It looked so good I couldn't resist. I wish I didn't open this thread
I've been playing it - maybe about 2 hours in at this point.
The plusses: the shout outs to Disney stuff are AWESOME, especially if you're a big fan. It's cool playing as Mickey. The score is BRILLIANT.
The minuses: Biggest one is the camera is a pain in the neck. You have to keep recentering. Sometimes when you aim at something it doesn't aim quite right (though this isn't THAT big an adjustment to make). The biggest problem is that, even though the game LOOKS cool and the idea is cool, the play itself is BORING. The fights are redundant and blah. The quests are literally "Go get this" "I don't have it, go here to get it." OK, you go get it, bring it back -- and that's it. It's a lot of running around chasing after things without much purpose.
So far, the design is cool enough that I want to keep playing, I just wish there was more THERE there.
That's what I've been hearing, but I'm still very excited, being a Disney dork and all. I know I'll enjoy the theme park things and story.
Now, I have a Wii, but I HATE the Wiimote. I never use it. I plug in my old Gamecube controller. Can I still use this for this game, or will this one force me to use it?
Since you need to point the Wiimote to use the paintbrush, I assume you would need the Wiimote, but I really don't know the answer to that.
If you're a Disney Dork (which I am too) then you will enjoy it. It would be nice if the game was better, but there's enough to enjoy either way.

I'm in the camp of "Visually stunning, boring to play." It's kind of the video game equivalent of an Ang Lee movie.
And yes, you ahve to use the Wiimote...and that's my least favorite aspect of the Wii...the remote.
I'm not sure I'll finish the game.
A friend whose a total games geek bought it and enticed me into playing one night.
Big ol' missed opportunity. Cute concept, but it never really goes anywhere.
I was looking forward to buying this game. The graphics look great from what I have seen but the game looks confusing to me.
