This premiered on UK television last night. I thought there was a lot of dry British humour in there, and that would appeal to a British, rather than American audience.
However there was also the great visual/cultural gag of replacing Richard Griffiths with Matt Le Blanc. And the unintended visual/cultural gag of Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig's Americanised haircuts: effectively the same as their British haircuts but now designer scruffy as opposed to just-got-out-of-bed.
I'll definitely be watching next week.

I love the dry British humor, which is I guess why I liked it.
Can't say I knew anything about the haircuts since I didn't know the two leads, but I loved the Richard Griffiths part, and the woman who was in charge of comedy at the studio made me laugh every time she opened her mouth.

This is getting bad reviews over here.
It seems to be (giving them the benefit of the doubt) exploring where comedy stops and cringe starts - rather like a certain presenter at a recent awards ceremony.
