I have a question about actors equity...if there is a call for equity performers for a broadway show can non-quity performers audition?? I'm just a little confused on the whole topic.. i hope that someone can enlighten me!

not exactly.. it is an EQUITY call.
sometimes, non-equity actors can sign up on a seperate list and if time allows, ie all equity people who want to be seen have been seen and there is still time on the clock, then they MAY see a few non-equity people...
before the tread goes crazy -- there are lots of times this has been discussed -- your best bet is to go to the equity website...in it's simplest answer - if there is time they might see you -- no guarantee

If you are planning on auditioning for anything, you are better off waiting until AFTER college. Don't rush things.
I'm not planning on auditioning for anything...I do plan on going to college... I was just asking a question about equity because I wasn't that familiar with the procedure
