Essay marks -- grrrrr!

Can I just vent? I'm an English student who is used to getting As on my essays. I take a Computer Science class about Technology and Society -- it's an essay course for CompSci students, but as an English major I thought I would ace it. So I write an elegant 15-page final paper of which I'm quite proud. I get the mark back today, and I only get a B! WTF? My T.A. is a mechanical engineering student, and SHE gives me a B on MY essay? I'm boiling mad!

Did she say why? Look, I know quite well that most engineers are semi-literate at best.

But maybe you got a B on your merits.

I'm sure there's a reason -- I'm just venting mindlessly now. I thought I had written a strong essay, and I was expecting a much better grade. But her comments were few and very vague -- big, sweeping one-liners on the marking page rather than an insightful of my work. I didn't write 15 pages of exquisite prose to be skimmed and stamped!

Okay, if the comments were vague and you really think you wrote a good paper, I can understand why you're mad. Damn engineers. I know enough of them to know I'd rarely trust their opinion on my writing.
