So this guy has done an amazing job analyzing the finale of The Sopranos.
Tony is dead.
David Chase has even said it: "it's all there on the screen for anyone that wants to see it".

this is all really interesting and i've never even watched a single episode of the show.

It was a great read (I enjoyed the holy communion wafer/onion rings analogy in particular) and who knows? He might be right. But I'm still not sure he got whacked. The Sopranos was always more about questions than answers, more about the journey than any final destination. No one grows, no one really changes.

OK, but to be fair he never said that as an endorsement to what Bob Harris wrote (which is what could be inferred by the way you stated it). He hasn't said what happened either way. Maybe someday he will!
It's so weird because I thought it was SO strange the way they ate the onion rings.
Even if only a third of the things Harris pointed out were intentional, it's still pretty compelling.
And inspired, to actually build so many hints to what Chase might believe the ending to be, while still leaving so much room for argument and interpretation. Amazing.
