It's a pretty lengthy excerpt, but worth reading if you're a fan of Shyamalan or if you just think he's bat**** crazy.

What a fascinating read. I don't find Shyamalan crazy. Hollywood makes everyone a little pananoid and/or eccentric. I think Shyamalan was just acting out of artistic integrity. Good for him.
that's a very intriguing article. my wife has her own theory of shyamalan, "sixth sense, great. unbreakable, not great. signs, great. the vilage, not so much. this one's gonna be great."
it's amazing that a guy who cultivates secrecy opened up that much.
The New York Times had an interesting review of this book, calling the author "awestruck."
I love all his films, and he is only one of a couple directors who gets me in a movie theater. Regardless of all the negative things said about it, THE VILLAGE, is my favorite of his films, thus far. I will be seeing LADY IN THE WATER, opening weekend, for sure!
Good to know I'm not the only one in America that actually liked The Village.
After seeing it multiple times, I'm still on the fence about how much I liked/didn't like The Village.
Loved Sixth Sense. Loved Unbreakable. Hated Signs.
I'll see his new movie though, I just can't say when I'll see it.
