this movie is just as intense as it was when it came out 42 years ago in 1964.
It still scares me to death, and frankly still could happen. I have not seen this movie (until today) for about 25 years....I truly believe all people need to see this.
It is just so upsetting
Read the book, or see the original movie. And then think.
Now you've scared me.. Is it worth to get thrown off your feet by?
A series of human and computer errors sends a squadron of American B-58 bombers to nuke Moscow. The President, in order to convince the Soviets that this is a mistake, orders the Strategic Air Command to help the Soviets stop them. This movie pulls no punches. The ending will make you thank God the Cold War is over!
it is a thriller

We watched that in History...I cried at a few parts. It actually freaked me out a bit. I've been dying to find a copy of the live TV version they did in 2000, it was never released on DVD or anything.
I taped it that night. The show was performed live, the way television dramas used to be done, and that made it unique. It turned out to also be an excellent production - right up there with the original.
somehow I cannot imagine it being as good as the original, jut the back and white versus full-color would be disturbing to me
