As many of you know FOX is looking for replacements for the Futurama cast. FOX is reporting that they wanted 75K an episode, which is a lie per Phil Lammar (Hermes). FOX has banned them from the Comic-Con panel for Futurama & were uninvited to Comic-Con as a whole. The cast went anyway & are signing autographs in another room.
I thought it was Comedy Central who was reviving the show, not FOX.

FOX is producing, Comedy Central is just showing it.
PR theatrics? Seems like interesting timing, to have all this happen around comic-con. The actors were banned, but showed up anyway...
Just sounds like a plan for publicity, in which the cast will get their jobs back.
$75K? Don't the Simpsons people make like $500K per ep? And why would Fox publicize the negotiations like that? That is so stupid.
I don't believe any of it.

They weren't allowed to go to the Futurama panel but managed to get another room to do autographs for fans.

The Simpsons make 400K an episode. It was made public to make THEM seem like the victim & to have the VAs appear greedy.
FOX will buckle though. The fans are the ones who brought this back with sales & repeats ratings. If they do replace the VAs then no one will watch it & they know it. To top it off the VAs aren't even asking for the 75K.
Like I said. Theatrics.
A friend of mine was called in to read. She says she thinks it's a ploy.
I said, "Yea. But what if you get the part?"
She hadn't really thought of that.
