FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

What a joy it is that the winds of winter blow cold. For they make the warmth of spring so much more precious.

What a joy it is when we disagree with each other. For it gives us the opportunity to better understand.

What a joy it is when an unexpected problem arises. For in that problem is a valuable lesson to be learned.

What a joy it is to experience discomfort. For discomfort is how it feels to grow stronger.

What a joy it is to live in a world filled with challenges, difficulties and obstacles. For there is always a reason and a way to make a positive difference.

What a joy it is that the road ahead is an uphill climb. For where it leads is all the way to the top.

re: FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

Love when you can
Cry when you have to
Be who you must
That's a part of the plan
Await your arrival
With simple survival
And someday we'll all understand...
- from Dan Fogelberg's Part of The Plan
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" re: FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

Whenever I'm alone and you're lost out there
I can feel you breathe 'cause our lungs we share
When I'm alone anytime, anywhere
I can feel your heart beat 'cause our blood we share
I was scared when you came into the room
the walls became the sea, your voice was the moon
Oh, and when you rocked me in your arms
like a song, a wave on the tide of you

And I will let you breathe through me
I will let you be with me

What a joy it is to have friends and family to love...people and places to reflect back on as the end of a year approaches and we anticipate the New.

re: FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

"Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Thy sanctuary.
Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers
Under the sway of thy gentle wings." -
from the English translation of Ode to Joy, Beethoven.

re: FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

Longer than there’ve been fishes in the ocean
Higher than any bird ever flew
Longer than there’ve been stars up in the heavens
I’ve been in love with you.

Stronger than any mountain cathedral
Truer than any tree ever grew
Deeper than any forest primeval
I am in love with you.

I’ll bring fires in the winters
You’ll send showers in the springs
We’ll fly through the falls and summers
With love on our wings.

Through the years as the fire starts to mellow
Burning lines in the book of our lives
Though the binding cracks and the pages start to yellow
I’ll be in love with you.

Longer than there’ve been fishes in the ocean
Higher than any bird ever flew
Longer than there’ve been stars up in the heavens
I’ve been in love with you
I am in love with you..

(thanks for making me think of Dan Fogelberg this morning...)

Dan was one of my favorites when I was in Highschool. I hadn't thought about him for many years until today, when I received a letter from a friend (christmas letter) which included that quote at the end...very beautiful.
I love Longer also - always did.

A favorite of mine during High School and College. I don't listen to him all the time, but when I do, I find myself wondering why I don't more often. The music of NetherLands makes me weep!

re: FRIDAY MOTIVATOR - What A Joy!!!

Once in a vision I came on some woods
And stood at a fork in the road
My choices were clear yet I froze with the fear
Of not knowing which way to go
Oh, one road was simple acceptance of life
The other road offered sweet peace
When I made my decision
My vision became my release
"Two drifters off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see. . ."
