fyi, "howley" is spelled haulie and it doesn't just refer to men, it refers to anyone who's white. and yes, living in hawaii and being white, you get called haulie a lot.
Since when is a black person calling a Caucasian "cracker" acceptable? I've never seen an instance where it was interpreted as a tolerable or teasing insult.
everyone calls white people haulie, white people included. it's deffinately racist, but it's not taken that way anymore. it's really just another way of saying white now. (but i would still just rather say white than haulie)

"Honey-
Men don't want one woman. Do the same thing. Date many men.
I DO! I am going through the exact same thing.
Don't over eat, instead date others.
You will be amazed how much fun it will be.
Also play hard to get.
Men are dogs honey.
DOGS!" - Corine2 10/29/04
I don't watch TV, Rodney, so those references usually pass me by. But to say that prejudice against white men is the last acceptable form of bigotry is laughable. (Especially if you're gay.) You know which group enjoys the most advantages in American life? White men. So they will continue to be mocked, and they can stay satisfied with the knowledge that when it comes down to bigotry that actually matters- in the workplace, media, and public life- they still have an overwhelming advantage.
Okay, hon. You're gonna need to give Matt_G your daddy's phone number pronto.
