This is actually too absurd to be believable. Some Americans can't afford food, and they have the nerve to ask this.
Pssh.
Aw, isn't that cute.
Pssh is right.
I wish I had a 600K income. I'm lucky to have what I have.
So 600K is considered "middle-class" now? Sweet Jesus, my family would be living in a cardboard box, hitting people up for spare change.
Indeed, I find it hard to believe that that is "middle-class" although this day and age who knows? We should all ask the rich to give us some of their good fortune this holiday season.
Christmas is the time for giving right?
600K isn't their income, it's how much they can afford to pay back the mortgage on.
One million is actually cheap for a three bedroom apartment in Manhattan! A good size one bedroom goes for at least $785,000 in some areas! That's for 770 square feet! These poor people aren't asking for much!

How about they live someplace less expensive than Manhattan?
I could damned near RETIRE on one million and I'm only 42!

They don't want to move out of Manhattan, "lest the city lose yet another wonderful family to the burbs." They are a wonderful family. Don't lose them.
Aren't they wonderful?
Truly wonderful.

They are really what Christmas is all about. Them and the Christmas Shoes. I'm not sure which I love more.
I'm not sure I want this family in my neighborhood. I mean, I don't want POOR people living next to me...

But they are wonderful. Full of wonder.

Wonder Bread, maybe?
Yes, that's it. It's their dirty little secret.
1.7 million will certainly not buy a "fancy" apartment for a family on the UWS.
*the cows knock over foster run off with his cd player and drop some change for the family's apartment

But they might have to LEAVE Manhattan.
Stupid suburbs!
Amen to dat, sista blue.
Hey, I am not hating on them. If someone is dumb enough to give them the money, who am I to judge?
By the way, the moms in my neighborhood all drive new SUVs. My Blazer is like 6 years old. I don't want to bring suburbia down. So, can anyone get me an Escalade or something? (Those Kate Walsh commercials really have me wanting a Cadillac.)
If you live in the city, you don't need the expense nor the pollution contribution of having a car.
Well I just made my contribution. It was only $499,990. though b/c I wanted to divide up at least $10.00 to the local homeless shelter and toys for tots.
