I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

re: Famous TV Shows & Movies You Have Never Seen

Movies:
Stagecoach
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Birth of a Nation
Any of the modern horror/torture genre, which I will never see (Hostel, Saw, etc.) No thanks.

Most recent movie sequels (Pirates 2 & 3, Spider-Man 2 & 3, Shrek 3, X-Men 3, Matrix 2 & 3... I hate movies with a number after them. The minute they "franchise" something, I lose interest.)

TV Shows (many because I don't like watching episodic TV anymore):
Sopranos
Grey's Anatomy
Lost
Heroes
Desperate Housewives
Law & Order
Boston Legal, Common or Whatever

re: Famous TV Shows & Movies You Have Never Seen

I've never been able to sit through GRAND ILLUSION, it just bores me to tears. There are others, I guess, like the followups to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. But after seeing STAGECOACH and THE SEARCHERS a couple of years ago, I kind of feel like the major holes in my movie-viewing have been plugged. You can never see everything.

I think there's a difference between Really Famous (STAGECOACH, THE GODFATHER) and Momentarily Famous (SPIDERMAN,

TV-wise, well, I've never watched an entire episode of LOST or BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Friends have raved about them.

I'm curious as to why Husk 'needs' to see KRAMER VS. KRAMER.

I think there's a difference between Really Famous (STAGECOACH, THE GODFATHER) and Momentarily Famous (SPIDERMAN, most of the current torture films). Having seen SPIDERMAN once in the theatre and then a couple of times on cable, and then being very disappointed in that tiresome SPIDERMAN 2, I doubt I'll be bothering with the rest of the franchise. I just couldn't have cared less about SPIDERMAN 3.

TV-wise, well, I've never watched an entire episode of LOST or BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Friends have raved about them.

I'm curious as to why Husk 'needs' to see KRAMER VS. KRAMER. Can you elaborate?

"Go see Spider-Man and then the sequels. GREAT movies"

compared to Casablanca they are crap....Spidey, you REALLY need to see Casablanca, one of the true classics
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

re: Famous TV Shows & Movies You Have Never Seen

I'm pretty good about seeing most movies, but when it comes to TV, my friends can;t believe I've never seen a single episode of:

House
Any of the CSI Shows
Sex in the City
Grey's Anatomy, and yes...
FRIENDS!

There's much much more television I've never seen too!
I just prefer being outside or going somewhere to sitting around watching TV I guess!

re: Famous TV Shows & Movies You Have Never Seen

I can't think of a single really famous film that I haven't seen; but I can think of many television shows that I've never seen even a portion of a broadcast. Desperate Housewives and The Sopranos come immediately to mind. There are many.

A few TV show that I've never seen (which I'm pretty sure have not yet been mentioned) are "Six Feet Under," "The Simpsons," and "Family Guy."

>> If you haven't seen Gone With The Wind and Casablanca, go watch them. Those movies actually have a reason for being famous.

I'll agree with CASABLANCA, but do yourself a favour and turn off GONE WITH THE END at the end of the first part. The second is nonstop soap opera. All the great stuff is in Part One.
