Farewell to the wonderful Richard Briers

The star of "The Good Life" (aka "Good Neighbors") and "The Monarch of the Glen" has passed away.

He also gave sterling performances in several of Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare film adaptations and was a perfect Bertie Wooster on BBC radio.

It give me little pleasure to mention this but I'm old enough to remember his first sitcom in the sixties co-starring Prunella Scales, it was called Marriage Lines:)

I saw him in Lear when the Renaisance Theatre company played in Toronto almost 18 yrs ago. He was wonderful. G*d Bless.
