The Littlest Angel - for many reasons.

And the the Grinch. The animated one, with Boris. Not the insane abortion of a movie.

The House Without A Christmas Tree.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

DG---I love The Littlest Angel, and haven't seen it in years!

re: Favorite Christmas Special?

I also think it's funny that several of you said A Christmas Story, when that's a feature film. But I think I was one of the three people who actually saw it in a movie theatre. The rest of the world seems to have discovered it on TV.

And Glebby---Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol is one of my favorites too. The music is so terrific!

I might be crazy, but I remember seeing some sort of sci-fi comedy Christmas special (I think it had some songs) with Bernadette Peters around the late 70s/early 80s. Ring any bells? I can't remember the name, but I loved it when I was a kid. My one vivid memory involves the 12 Days of Christmas with different lyrics and Bernadette running around with green jello.

I could have sworn it was Bernadette Peters, but maybe I'm wrong. I do remember seeing that Christmas special.

Friends of mine thought I was lying about Best of the West and Far Out Space Nuts, but those were real. Real, I tell you! So no, I'm not always on crack.

The special below has the best score of them all in my opinion.

Glebb, add me to the list of those who also love Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. When I found it on DVD in a base exchange in Germany a couple of years ago I snapped it up right away. Lovely music.

This isn't my favorite, but I do enjoy "Christmas Every Day" with Erik von Detten.

I think I've watched it every year since it debuted.

For some reason, it didn't do well in its original run. They must not have advertised it very well. In the mid 1980s, everyone I knew talked about how funny this movie was and the frozen flagpole scene. It got to a point where you either "had" seen it or you "had not". Those of us who "had not" felt like shunned Amish. Finally in 1988, I bought my very first VCR (in the month of July) and the first movie I rented was "A Christmas Story". I got a strange look from the video clerk (A Christmas Story in July?) but I had to see what was so funny.

"I could have sworn it was Bernadette Peters, but maybe I'm wrong. I do remember seeing that Christmas special."

When Donny & Marie had their variety show, they did an odd Christmas show where they changed the lyrics of 12 Days of Christmas. The last line went something like "...and a chicken in a bah-na-na tree" I could be wrong, but I had thought that Danny Bonaduce had guest starred on that one (hey Danny and Bernadette are both redheads).

Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol with the Jule Styne music and Bob Merrill lyrics. I have the tape. Great songs.

if we are talking about "specials" a toss-up between Pee Wee and Charlie Brown.

If we are talking about TV movies....my fav right now is 'The Gathering" with Maureen Stapleton and Ed Asner

I love the Santa Experience episode of Rugrats.

Does anyone remember Mickey's Nutcracker? It was live action, performed on stage, was originally presented on the Disney Channel? It's charming, and is now available on youtube! But be sure to watch the one that's from the actual telecast.
