I used to think Disney songs were too "kiddy" for my tastes, but now I'm downloading a lot of them on my computer. I love Reflection from Mulan and Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas in particular.
What are your favorite Disney songs?

You know, I think that we theatre lovers should really thank Disney for those movies. They're the ones who taught us it's okay for people to break into song to express their feelings no matter what the time or place. They also taught us the art of a good choreographed number. Yes, I owe a lot to those classic Disney movies.

All of them. I love it.

Posted: 2/18/06 at 2:40amI've had a special love for "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" ever since I was maybe seven or eight, and my ballet class performed a dance to that song. Silly, I know, but - we wore little lion manes and tails! And had face paint! How can I not look back upon that with fondness?
