I have two: "Hot Child in the City"--the one where Carrie dates the comic bookstore owner who still lives with his parents. They end up smoking pot in his house while eating KFC. Basically any episode where Carrie is high is hilarious.

the second one is when Aidan is moving in with Carrie and she gets pissed at all of his crap lying around her apartment and how he always has to know "where ya been? What'd'ya do?" He demands half of her closet space and insists she doesn't even wear most of the outfits in there. He holds up a top to illustrate, to which Carrie replies, "For the record, have worn it: December '99, Union Square, book signing (cluck of the tounge)." Classic.

I love the L.A. episodes with Matthew McConaughey and when Carrie is in the fashion show.

I love the one that takes place during Fleet week. The girls are walking down the street and suddenly Samantha turns around and says "Oh! sea men!" and Miranda says "I really hope that if I turn around I'm going to see some Navy guys", and Carrie says "Well, with her you never know!"

My favorite part of the show is the ending, when one of the sailors tells Carrie that he's homesick. He says that the big city just feels very foreign to him and he could never get used to it. Carrie gets angry and tells him (and I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact words) "I can criticize him all I want, but don't you DARE come down here and criticize MY boy friend!" Her love of the city really came through then. When the season was ending, I knew for a fact that she would return to New York. She loved it too much to leave it forever.

My all time favorite is the one where Miranda's mother passes away, because it cuts through the crap and they are all there for Miranda, even Aiden and Steve.

I also enjoy the episodes with Craig Bierko. His character may have had some issues, but he was so sexy.

Ohhh.. i love that episode! cynthia nixon is soo good in that one. you really feel for her because she is so not the type to just breakdown, she tries to stay strong. and then, most surprising of all, samantha breaks down. i also love that steve and aidan showed up at the funeral to support miranda.

Mamie, that episode was actually on TBS tonight (albeit the abridged version). That sailor in particular was played by Daniel Sajata, I believe. SO HOT. Nothing makes me melt more than a man in a sailor uniform.

I love this show. Favorite season overall was 3, favorite episodes are:

Season 3 - "Easy Come, Easy Go"
Charlotte freaks out after she proposes to Trey and gets a response of "Alrighty.", Miranda has to deal with Steve dating someone new while still living with her. Samantha dates a guy who has funky tasting spunk. Carrie ends up cheating on Aidan with Big. It was a really dramatic and well-done episode, and all of the storylines are fantastic.

Season 4 - "The Agony and the 'Ex'-tasy"
Carrie's 35 birthday party. Lots of discussion about soulmates, with Charlotte ultimately concluding that the girls can be each other's soulmates, and then men can just be nice guys to have fun with.

this is another show that i adore..its probably my favorite and i have seen every episode at least 10 times!! i DID love that matthew mcaghnahey (how the heck do you spell his name?!) "that's Bullsh** carrie, and ya know it!!!" i say that all the time and no one knows what the HECK i am talking about!!!
i love EVERY single episode with Chris Noth...i used to have a Mr Big in my life too but it didn't end as great as the season finale...now i have my mr RIGHT , so its all good!!
i can't even think of a favorite episode...i really miss this show and i am sad that there won't be a movie. i had read somewhere that they aren't making it because kim cattral wanted as much money as SJP...pooo...i say..make the movie and have the first scene be at Samantha's funeral...i don't mean to be morbid..i am just saying...its a way to get the movie made and while you'd miss the character of sam..i think the other three girls had amazing story lines and the movie would be great without kim...

I too, have to say there weren't any episodes I didnt love. I was also particularly fond of the episodes with Big, mostly because I have a 'Big' in my life -- so similar to the point where my friends started referring to him as Big even before I was a huge fan of the show (shamefully, I didnt have HBO till season 3).

Some favorites include when Carrie first cheats on Aiden with Big, The finale, when Big moves to Napa ("well when you're tired you TAKE a napa, you dont MOVE to napa!") and Miranda has Brady.... oh god, at the end of that episode when Carrie picked up the record and plane tickets from Big's apartment I was in tears. Oooh! The one when Carrie tells Big she loves him and it takes him till the end of the episode when he calls her while she's asleep in bed with Jerimiah (JERIMIAH was a bullfrog! Was a good friend of mine!) and says "I fcuking love you okay. You know I do. It's just something I have to say in my own time." (been there, too)

I love the one when Big comes back to NYC for his heart surgery..... the opening is just so beautifully done and I ADORE the dress SJP was in! The position she was in in that episode.... I've definitely been there and it hit very close to home. "The only way to have Big in my life was to block out certain feelings.... and now, they're all bubbling up with no place to go but out my eyeballs."

American Girl in Paris Part Une.... oh it just broke my heart. There's Big, all ready to tell Carrie she's the one and he made a horrible mistake and she just can't even deal with it anymore. I identify with that so much as it's the wishy washyness Im just getting out of with my Big. I love that Carrie admits to Miranda that Paris isnt exactly as she planned and it becomes apparent that seeing Big right before she left shook her more than she would have liked... and she admitted to missing him. I love that Charlotte intercepted the phone call from Big to Carrie's answering machine, because Big said he loved her and he didnt want to be without her. And the of course, Big meeting the girls in the coffee shop, ultimately taking Carrie's seat, putting his heart on his sleeve and looking to them for guidance. It's such a wonderful and pivitol moment that the girls all look to Miranda to answer and she simply leans across the table and tells Big "go get our girl."

God I love that show. Thank God for DVDs!

I love the one towards the end of Season 2, when Samantha's 25-year-old assistant, Nina G, steals her contact and throws a huge party in the Hamptons that ends up a complete mess.

Nina G: You are so coked out!

Friend: You are so jealous!

- Miranda twists her neck while wearing a towel and needs Aidan's assistance.
- Charlotte dates a man (Dan Futterman) who's 'gay but not gay' or something, and toward the end of the episode they're both screaming because there's a mouse in the kitchen.
- Aidan and Carrie break up for the second time.
- Carrie's motherboard crashes.
- Charlotte becomes enamored with the lesbian art historian collective.
- Samantha and Carrie dare to take the train to (San Francisco?) together to promote a book.

"Paper covers rock."

Brilliant.

I discovered this show late - and I am getting so addicted to it! I love that there are episodes I haven't seen yet - I have something to look forward to. Hard to pick a favorite, but Miranda is emerging as my favorite - although they're all lovable. Why couldn't Carrie have BOTH Big and Aiden? But I can see Big is the one for her.

The episode that really touched me was Steve and Aiden showing up at Miranda's mother's funeral. Her looking up and seeing those two faces really choked me up. A real favorite is when Miranda takes control when Steve has cancer - she is tough, smart, loving and he really appreciates all those qualities, including and especially her strength. Miranda is so real, especially at times like that, and any woman would be lucky to find a man like Steve.

Why couldn't Carrie have BOTH Big and Aiden?

Once you've seen more of the episodes, everything will come together and you'll understand why. In season 6, Carrie runs into Aiden -- when you see where he is in his life that will sum it all up for you. Though Carrie and Aiden did want the same thing, they also wanted something very different.

Two other moments I just thought of... at Miranda's mom's funeral, when Carrie steps out of the pew and walks with Miranda, REALLY being there for her... that was just a great, sweet moment. Also at Miranda and Steve's wedding (the day they found out Samantha had cancer)... Carrie and Samantha were standing together and Carrie just took Samantha's hand and held it. That gesture brought tears to my eyes.
