I was watching old Roseanne episodes yesterday, and thought "What a great ensemble of actors." What are some of you favorite ensembles of a sitcom?

Sorts Night, hands down for me. Felicity Huffman, Peter Krause, Josh Charles, Robert Guillome, Joshua Malina, and Sabrina Lloyd. What an excellent show, and I couldn't imagine it w/o any one of them!
My current favorite is probably the cast of Arrested Development, Tambor is the tart I love to taste. Bateman, Da Rossi and David Cross are fabulous. The kids are so deadpan. Gob and Buster and the mother I love as the offbeat crazies. (sorry I forgot the actors names)
The Scrubs cast is close as well.
All time my favorite ensemble is probably the Mary Tyler Moore show cast.
I have to go with Buffy, especially the early seasons.
Oops! Sorry, definitely not a sitcom, but great emsemble nonetheless!
The Golden Girls...wouldn't be right without all four. Hence why "Golden Palace" didn't succeed.
I forgot Golden Palace was even real :)
Golden Girls had a wonderful ensemble though.
Buffy while very funny was not a sitcom, one of my favorite shows now, but not a sitcom.
I wish I had watched Sportsnight, the few episodes I saw in reruns were really funny.
Also, come to think of it. "The Nanny" had a GREAT ensemble. They all worked so well with each other and the writing was genious. I love the Niles vs. C.C. scenes...they have wonderful comedic timing and work so well off each other. The show was perfectly suited for Drescher and, unfortunately, I don't think she'll ever find anything as suited for her again. Her new sitcom is OK.
I agree, The Nanny ensemble is great. I watch that show in reruns every day. I never understand when people bash that show on here...That show was a love letter to Broadway.
smartpenguin, what I loved about Sports Night was not only that it was consistantly hilarious, but that there were also serious, topical issues that were dealt with really well. I love a good comedy that can also make you cry (and not have it be shmaltzy).
I loved the episode where Felicity Huffman's character discovered the joy of Broadway (yeah, it was through The Lion King, but...) I'll have to dig back into the DVD box set when I get home from school.
FElicity Huffman is a great actress. She's good on Desperate Housewives (Overrated show in my opinon. I stopped watching when they stopped naming episodes after Sondheim songs, hehe), but I hate that people think that is the first thing she's ever done.
I've never seen Desperate Housewives either, or the Nanny for that matter. I don't tend to branch out on TV shows very often. I like a show that tries to deal with some real issues, I wish SportsNight had lasted longer and done more.
Definitely thumbs up on Cheers and The Golden Girls...Scrubs and Arrested Development too (though those are two that I love, but always seem to forget to watch).
Another favorite ensemble is Spin City (the original group, not w/ Heather Locklear, and certainly not after Charlie Sheen came on!)
And MASH and Seinfeld, of course.
The Will and Grace team still make me laugh.

Many come to mind, but if I had to choose I'd go with the amazing foursome that anchored All in the Family - and branched into the regular supporting cast (many of whom developed successful shows of their own.)
I agree with Beaverhausen, MTM is very hard to beat. Also the original group from Designing Women.

MTM is kind of the acknowledged standard - and talk about spawning successful spin-offs!
What about one of the best ensembles ever-

Or, for ancient Brit history, does anyone remember THE RAG TRADE?
If we're doing Britcoms, I'd like to add the Vicar of Dibley and Last of the Summer Wine

Cast of MASH, seasons 1-7, with the first three being absolutely fantastic.
And ditto AbFab!

I also vote for the Nanny and Golden Girls and I still watch them today. In both shows the characters play off each other so well. Everbody love Loves Raymond is good too, although it seems they are dwindling a bit. However, it is the last season and all good things must come to an end.
I think Raymond is way overrated...
Why has nobody said Family Matters? HAHAHAHA
