Best that I have had was a Quintessa Cab I guess 2000 - more than I can afford.

Costco has amazing deals on wine.
Trader Joe's actually has a pretty drinkable Cab for only $5.00 a bottle - the Black Mountain "Fat Cat" Cabernet.

Y - Trader Joe's has saved me. My wife spends 7-10 for a bottle now!
Costco has fine wines that are really beyond my budget, but excelent prices on lesser priced wines

You can get some decent bottles at Costco for around 11/12 dollars. They have some really nice Australian wines there.
And, if you like Pinot Grigio, TJ's has a drinkable one for I think 5 dollars as well.
A nice deep red Zin . . . yummm.

Grgich has a great Chard.
I usually like Reds, but will have some Pinot Grigio once in a while.

Posted: 11/5/05 at 12:40amLove the Piedmont (Italy) reds especially a Barolo. A good Barbaresco is nice, too, and a bit more affordable. But the Barolos are so complex--just amazing.

Just finished an excellent Spanish Rioja: Prado Enea Gran Riserva.
For a brunch today with the parents of a friend from France, some non-Champagne sparklers from Bordeaux, Alsace and the Loire.
