re: favorite past threads/bww history thread

The thread that shall remain nameless. That was the best night of my life! There's so much from the thread that it's important to me, and many of the "events" that came after.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

Part of me is rooting for the non-musical songs "I Try" by Macy Gray or "Here's to the Night" by Eve 6

(for laughs only, I must make the suggestion of "The Suncreen Song" by Baz Luhrman)

Before I Gaze at You Again (Camelot)
Make Our Garden Grow (Candide)
You'll Never Walk Alone (Carousel)
Seasons of Love (Rent)
Climb Every Mountain (Sound of Music)
For Good (Wicked)

and just for kicks,

We Go Together (Grease)

Wow so many great threads I'm sorry I missed them. That Fence Jumping thread was great re: favorite past threads/bww history thread
Where has Judy in disguise gone anyway? the spice girls thread is also close to a classic.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

re: favorite past threads/bww history thread

Well, I have lots of a favorites, especially from among those that were deleted. Narrowing my favs to a few is tough.

The fantabulous former BWW Member extrodinaire Vicious Cirle came immediately to my mind.

Here's one that that illustrates the truth in "plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chosé." This was in response to the ever-so-popular "who is most popular member" threads that started appearring last Spring Break and somehow never went away. Actually, when the adults ruled, it took about a year for the first one to appear, however with the advent of BroadwayWorldKids these threads seem to come almost every day now. They happened before and they will happen again.

Wow. This is like high school again. Everyone who is popular gets singled out, and all the losers realize how much they really suck in the grand scheme of things and go home to a pint of Godiva ice cream and re-runs of Just Shoot Me and.... and.... and.... *quickly turns and runs from the room sobbing dramatically* (door slam)

----------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it all theatre critics are either gay or 5"?

One of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious favorites is lost among the former threads, difficult to find easily. It was the story of how our dear, virginal Vicious was put in the family way by another of our high Testosterone members (notice the capital T--those levels remain high). This was further highlighted by the member who privately offered Vicious $1,000 help her out. Said money was to be left in cash, in an unmarked bag, at the stage door of a prominent Broadway hit. Strange, how immediately after Vicious' condition became public knowledge, and she collected the cash, she disappeared, never to be heard from again.

Ah, we had fun then.

A contradiction to plus ca change is the current idolization of Mr. Roxy.

Long term members know that I have always been protective of Mr. Roxy, and a defender of his rights to be here, as he was hounded and driven from the boards by some folks who seemed to be waking up on the wrong side of the bed every day for weeks.

Today, he is held up by BroadwayWorldKids as the "great grandfather" of BWW, in that nonsensical and totally ridiculous family tree thread.

Yesterday a villian, tomorrow a hero.

No offense, Rox, but I find the ever-chaning public sentiment of the boards endlessly amusing.
