I like my country old school, so I would say Dolly Parton's early stuff. New school, I can't get enough Keith Urban.

Posted: 4/5/09 at 3:37pmDolly Parton, Dolly Parton and Dolly Parton. I'm also a fan of outlaw country like Gram Parsons, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams and David Allen Coe. I loathe new country, but I do think Keith Urban is talented.

Posted: 4/5/09 at 6:22pmHal Ketchum. I've known him for nearly 20 years and he still manages to stun and surprise me with his voice. And he's a helluva songwriter, too. I don't have one single favorite song, the most I've ever been able to do is pick one song from each album, but even that is difficult.

how can i pick just one? heavens.
just because i've been listening to him a lot lately i'll toss dwight yoakem in there. a song? ain't that lonely yet.
but i mean the louvin brothers, the man in black, hank snow, tennessee ernie, ernest tubb, hank (i, ii, ii and iv), the carter family, folk uke, willie, lefty frizell, the singing brakeman, grandpa jones, buck owens, george & tammy, bobby bare (and jr.), tom t. hall, uncle tupelo, br-549, sweethearts of the rodeo, lyle lovett...and so so many more.
