Watching the clips last night reminded me of Steve Allen when he had his own talk show after his stint on the Tonight Show. He would try anything for a laugh

Watching Conan was like watching a little kid getting into trouble while watching Leno was like watching your old uncle fall face first into the mashed potatoes.

Just imagine Conan instead of the upteenth airing of Seinfeld reruns on Fox in the fall. Something to look forward to

I loved Will Ferrell with the cowbell - a tribute to the classic SNL sketch with Chris Walken.

The cowbell was my favorite part of that.

On my drive to work I had a local radio station on and the morning hosts were discussing this. They were not kind at all. They played a clip of Will singing and one of the guys said "Do you think it was a joke?" and another guy replied "It had to be. Did you hear him?" Will's not a singer but I felt it was a heartfelt tribute rather than Will just being stupid.

After that they started discussing Conan's settlement and how NBC gets to keep all of Conan's characters such as Triumph (which is not true - Triumph remains the property of Robert Smigel). One of the guys said "Based on the number of people who watched I doubt anyone cares".

Did anyone else hear or see less than positive reviews of Conan's final show?

I've heard nothing but positive reviews. I keep hearing how he went out with grace, style, class and dignity. I visited some friends yesterday and their parents, who remember Johnny Carson and said he was the King of late night, said Johnny would have been proud of Conan Friday night.I agree 100%.

Jay/NBC will always have their followers and paint them as the good guys and Conan the lone rebel. All I can say is I hope and pray Jay 's rating tank.
