I'm looking to find a play director for some plays that I wanna produce, Small budget productions in NYC, but I wanted to know which sources or places I can use to find directors?

I know for actors they could use plenty of sites, but what about for directors?

Do you live in New York City? Your best bet is to attend a lot of low-budget productions until you find a director you like. Directors can't really "audition" in the way that actors can; and a website won't tell you much about any director's work.

Both Columbia and NYU have well-regarded graduate directing programs (or they did, the last I heard). You might try checking out recent graduates.

There are also directors on this site, if you do some reading. They will have a better idea of who is good and available for small productions.

ETA: Speaking as a former director and current playwright, keep in mind that you don't just want the best director, you want the best director for the plays you want to produce.
