The house the Von Trapp family lived in prior to escaping from the Nazis will open in July as a Hotel. This is not the house seen in the film (which was actually two houses).

Posted: 5/17/08 at 3:10pmI've stayed at the Rocky Horror hotel -- if memory serves it's called Water Oakley, situated on the Thames near Windsor. I didn't stay in the main house but one of the outbuildings. It's a lovely place.

Posted: 5/17/08 at 8:39pmI stayed in the Von Trapp Hotel- the curtains in my room were all cut up, as if to make clothes out of them. What's up with that? I made sure to complain to Travelocity.
