My band teacher is a pompous idiot.
My friends are starting to annoy the hell out of me.
My socks are wet and my feet are cold.
Sociology class rant of the day:
I used to think my professor was at least a smart guy. Not so much! He just... takes no authority over the class, and is so obsessed with class discussion (in a lecture class!) that he lets it evolve into this like, forum for the girls to express their naive happy sunshine, flowers and bunnies perceptions of their ideal little worlds. I'm not there to hear what some princess from South Jersey thinks the world should be; I'm there to learn about the theoretical basis of things in reality. But when people say things like "doctors should really CARE about their patients and not do it for the money!!" (which is valid, I guess, but the farthest thing from academic), he fawns over what an excellent point that is and lets the next person give her opinion until it's just a free-for-all. And then when one person chimes in to make the singular logical point, really the only one that needs to be made about what the reading is actually saying: a point that says people are making something far more complex than it needs to be, and just completely misconstruing the reading, he gets this dumbfounded look on his face and says has no idea what she means. He could literally not comprehend the most basic point.
I have a midterm for this class on Thursday and I hate that I feel like studying is a total waste of my time. I'm so tired of going into this class twice a week knowing I'm going to come out angry and frustrated.
Oh, also? My mom decided to start a discussion with me today about why I'm not dating, and maybe there's like, something wrong with me. I'm sorry that most of the men in my life happen to be gay.

I'm sorry Em. I hope your class gets better.
Everyone is sick today. I have the worst sinus infection and i'm coughing and sneezing all over the place.
I hate high school. Everyone is so immature. In my global studies class this kid behind me decides he was going to throw a roll of paper towels across the room while the teacher wasn't looking, and continue to do so throughout the entire period. I swear, I feel like i'm in 6th grade! My teacher is so dumb and wasted an entire period the other day showing us her BOTTLE collection and how she goes to BOTTLE shows and digs in people's backyards and in dumbsters to find bottles. I hate living here. I love my friends, but god do I hate living here. I can't wait until college.

Oh i'm sorry! I didn't see your post. I got there when the parked opened and first went on Nitro, then ran to the other side of the park to Kingda Ka. It was about an hour wait. Later in the day however, it was probably a longer wait. In my opinion it was worth the wait completely. It was like nothing, I mean nothing, else. It was so great! I usually get the Flash Pass, but I went with about 8 people. It's so expensive! At Disney it's free! But, it's worth it.

Yes, I went on Sunday. The Flash Pass is great, but when I use it I only go with about 2 other people and run from ride to ride. It's hard to use it with a group.
I think I have a sinus infection. Ugh.

I'm supposedly "weird" and "crazy" for never have skipped a class.
I've been in college for 3 years and have never skipped a class. I've only missed a couple when I've been really sick.
Is that like odd or something? I feel like I'm the only one...

Do you go to Great Adventure often or just on certain occasions? I think once I was with 2 other friends in the summer and we were deciding if we wanted to get the flash pass but no one ever wants to pay for it. So we get stuck waiting.
Not really. The only time I remember skipping a class in my one short semester at college was when I decided to spend the Sunday night at a boyfriend's house. There wasn't a way in Hell I'd wake up at 7 to drive to the two hours back to school on Monday morning.
You're not weird or crazy. Just responsible.
You're not crazy. That's responsible.
You are not weird, I have never skipped a class either.
I am finally not sick anymore! (knock on wood!)
And I found out my christmas present is going to Les Mis with Jason...and some of his students. It should be interesting! But I am really excited about it!

Thanks guys.
I didn't think I was crazy but almost every college student I've spoken to has skipped many classes.
I thought I was missing something in my college experience.
I really have to go to the bathroom, but that involves leaving my room.
I'm sorry, no one really needed to know that. I think that was a little too banal even for this thread.
I'm going to go lift my spirits by watching some Ellen clips on youknowwhere....
I just went for a walk in the rain.
high school aps?
Don't you mean college aps?

Nope, high school.
BOOOOOO SCHOOL.

exactly!!
I'm eating cookies instead of studying. So now I'm going to gain weight AND fail my test. Woooo.
Amen, Emcee.
My band teacher is taking 15 points on my grade. I was too busy with real schoolwork, and I forgot to hand in a POEM (in a band class). She said she was absolutely not taking them after Fridya. When I asked her Friday, she ignored me. I assumed it still stood that she was not taking it. When I asked her about my grade today, she demanded the poem from me. She says to hand it in because it will "help me for next term," which means that she will continue to lower my grade (one of her supposedly good students). I got annoyed, which got me into more trouble.
I can't win.
