I know this is a little out of character, but I hope y'all are kept out of the fire's path. I'd hate to know that someone I knew was injured (or worse).

Luckily, I am not in the path of the fire, but it's still causing some minor problems in my neighborhood.
It's extremely smokey and difficult to breathe in the heat of the day. (It was 100 on Wednesday and 99 yesterday)
Last night when I left work it was snowing ash and the reflection of the flames and smoke made the sun a really eerie red color that was quite ominious.
These are really minor complaints compared/hindurances compared to what the people in the hills are dealing with but we are feeling some of it down here too.

My brother-in-law (for lack of a better term) lives in Thousand Oaks. They're using his street as a staging area for orchestrating the evacuations, if they're necessary.
