Just a reminder that this coming Tuesday (Nov. 21st), the new Bealtes album will be coming out called "Love." Sir George Martin and his son took original unused versions of their songs and mixed them with instrumentals from other songs, which, inturn, makes the songs that we all love and cherish sound brand new. It is the same music in the Cirque du Soleil show of the same name. CAN'T WAIT!
Thanks DJ....you seem to always get me to spend money that I don't have.
I miss those good ol' days of getting a new Beatles album each Christmas. This will be a very welcome return!
Sorry boobsy! I won't be able to buy it until next weekend when I get paid.
They did a performance of this on Leno the other night...it was fantastic! If I ever go to Vegas, I might have to catch the show.
I've never been a huge Beatles fan, but I definitely want to hear this.
Oh, I want to see this show so badly!
I'll definitely buy the CD. I love me some Beatles.

What? The Beatles perform on the cd (if that's what you are asking)
I thought this was a thread about Yoko Ono's CD and I was going to throw a shoe and spit at you.
The Cirque de Soleil company performed a number from the tie-in Las Vegas show. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
ETA: I think you're taking your av a bit too seriously there, Tiff
GOD NO! I can't stand Yoko's voice.

Thanks for posting that link! Couldn't stop listening to them. Ever since I first read about this project, I've been dying to hear this. I was thrilled when they said they were to put out a CD. I was thinking of making trip to Las Vegas, too, to see it anyway.
But why stop at just the 4? You can register at the Beatles official site and listen to a stream of the whole thing.
As a Beatles fan, I find it utterly mindblowing! Purists may not like it and I'm no purist.
The stereo sound alone, even on songs that seem less altered or enhanced or even unenhanced, is freakin' amazing.
I'm listening on my computer with my iPod earplugs and the level of small details in the background that may or may not be missed on regular speakers is incredible.
Unfortunately, listening to the stream I can't go back and repeat songs individually, but I can wait til Tuesday.
I adore how some songs are stripped down to almost bare essentials, but still have a fullness of sound.
I've always thought George Martin was a genius, and between he and his son with this, this only increases my admiration for his talent.
ETA: It wouldn't let me paste in the link to the Beatles site before I posted.

Well, if they ever finish remastering the old Beatles CDs, we'll get awesome sound quality on them, too.
Buut admittedly, they're ptobably never going to finish. Stupid Apple.

Oh thank you so much for posting! I saw this show (which was incredible) and I was wondering if they were coming out with a cd.
You're very much welcome

How does Gniknus sound? For me ABBA is the only group that makes sense backwards save for a little norwegian group called AHA.
WHAT!?!?!?

"WHAT!?!?!?"
I guess you wan't an explanation of my earlier post. I read about this new Beatles CD and that one of the songs, "gniknus", is the Beatles song, "Sun king", played backwards. The rest of my post was just two examples of popgroup names that reads the same if you read them backwards.

Have you seen the show? It's truly awesome, and I think the translation of the songs are really neat. I loved the added instruments and such in the music. They added parts from other songs into a song, and intertwined them in a way. Well, I know Paul McCartney was some-what involved in this and supported the show.
