Just the other night, I was invited to a high-end restaurant for a client dinner and for dessert, I ordered their house made bourbon pecan ice cream.
WORST ICE CREAM EVER. It literally had no flavor. It was frozen fat with pecans floating in it. It made me long for a Dairy Queen cone.

Mmmm, my kingdom for a Peanut Buster Parfait! C'mon September! 
Our tiny little town has a couple who immigrated from Italy and they opened a gelato shop. They make it fresh every day. It's HEAVEN. Regular Swedish ice cream is not that great. Swedes are rather obsessed, though. I would guess that over 1/2 of the folks walking out of IKEA get an ice cream cone, regardless of the temp.

I love fried ice cream! There is a Japanese restaurant over near the Irish rep that makes it with green tea icecream. LOVE it!
