There are so many reasons I love Rich of the blog FourFour: his acerbic, thoughtful and brilliantly written insights into American pop culture, "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls", dance music, Winston, "Imagine That - With Jade!" and a delightful appreciation of hot chunky beef.

But he's reached an even higher level with his essay about the amount of Confederate Flag kitsch along the Jersey shore.

An eye-opening read.
