Fox Pixelates FAMILY GUY Character's Rear End To Avoid Fines

http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/17/obscured.cartoon.ap/index.html

Oh good lord. Put a disclaimer and just let it go! DISNEY showed full frontals of nude women in ANNE FRANK (yes, a true, dramatic story, but point is, DISNEY aired it!)

If you disclaim before each episode that there is nudity, or even have a small watermark showing "N for Nudity" in the upper right hand corner, everything should be fine!

And Fox's getting fined show showing the whipped cream video - GOOD LORD! That's unbelieveable. FCC can kiss my ass - better yet - THEY can lick whipped cream off of it.

I agree there should be disclaimers to inform audiences what type of shows these are - but not to remove content! That kills the purposes of putting it there in the first place.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Really? I don't remember that. I did, however, notice that they cut a scene out of an episode they aired last night (and one of my favorites, too): When Meg is staying at Quagmire's house and walks in on him, naked, on top of a woman and he says "Thanks, Meg! You just bought me a few more seconds!"
I hope the new season isn't going to be ruined bu the effin' FCC.

Why didn't FOX just air it, and then when prompted as to why they did it, just say they were spoofing the censorship going on in America? That way, they cover their own behind (no pun intended), and make the show a little bit wittier.

I've never seen this show (or heard of it, for that matter); but does it air its new shows in a different time slot than the reruns do? Just wondering if the reruns are on at an earlier time, which might have prompted the silly pixelation and other edits.

"how have you not heard of family guy??? It's hysterical! "

I watch almost no television. And, those things I do watch, are via TiVo, so I skip past commercials. I'm sure it's a fine show; but I don't have time to watch anymore TV than I already do (approx. 5 hrs/week).
