My music teacher recently told me to sing "One For My Baby" and because I liked the song a lot, I would like to learn some other good Sinatra songs. Any favorites?

I Did I My Way...
It's my dad's favorite song and makes me think of him.

Yeah...
Sinatra's repertoire is HUGE!! So many AMAZING songs that ARE amazing ONLY because of HIS interpretation and HIS phrasings...

There are dozens of Sinatra collections on CD. You can hardly go wrong. Get a couple and choose for yourself. Music and lyrics are so personal. Anonymous tipsters on a message board
really can't know what is appropriate for you, or what will grab you, so you are not just singing Sinatra songs but singing a song meaningful to you.

This would be my vote for a good overview of what's generally considered his best recordings.
The Capital Years
My favorite is actually a duet he did with his daughter Nancy..."Something Stupid".....Robbie Williams did a remake with Nicole Kidman that was pretty good too.
Love "Somethin' Stupid". I also love me some "The Tender Trap" and "Three Coins in the Fountain"
..heck I love 'em all!
"The Chairman" rocks!
LOL @ your demented "Patty Duke" avatar Boobs!
Not only will I bake you a cake I will wipe the frosting from your cheek too!
I'll even take the frosting and smear it all over your torso and lick it off!

Go get the Capitol Years-- There is a three disc set that is amazing. There is also a single disc Warner collection called Very Good Years that has his later sutff (New York, Newy York, My Way, Very Good Year). That will give you four discs of songs and almost every one classic.
Personally my favorite is "The Way You Look Tonight."
"Someday, when I'm awfully low, when the world is cold, I will get a glow just thinking of you and the way you look tonight."
Isn't that just the best line???? And it's infinitely better when you add Frank's phrasing and delivery.
