Adbusters!

I love Adbusters. I urged all my friends to take part in Buy Nothing Day last year. And then I was walking through an adult bookstore in another town not my own and what do you suppose I found. The Men of Providence Fire Department Calendar. It was the only copy they had. And I knew I wouldn't be back in that store. I confessed to my friends and colleagues. Boy, did they call me a hypocrite.

Namo, your predicament brings to mind a certain infamous Adbusters spoof.
At least it was a noble cause, right?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this idea and am a disciple! As a former retail buyer (for an undisclosed retailer with a famous NY Avenue in its moniker) I never enjoyed a holiday because I ALWAYS had to be at work on Black Friday and the day after Christmas and New Years. Fifteen years of SUCKINESS! Since leaving that industry I have never and will never step foot in any retail establishment on those days! Power to the people!

Good. Terrible stuff, Rhode Island (I say from my mother's home in Cumberland).
