Okay, I have a 9 year old brother. We are both really into theatre. The other day, we were at Sweeney Todd for the second time (we decided to expose him to Sondheim early). During intermission, he turned to me and he said, "You know, I don't think Mamma Mia is that good anymore". This is a kid who was OBSESSED with Mamma Mia. I laughed for so long (and I was really happy he made that decision). What was even funnier was at the stage door, all of the actors would start to sign his playbill, and they all started laughing. I just thought it was a pretty funny evening.
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."
