Anyone else affected by this? I own a 2007 Saturn Ion and I just received a letter in the mail informing me that my car's been recalled due to a faulty ignition switch. Apparently having a heavy keychain, making incidental contact with the keys during driving, or going over a rough patch of road can wear on the ignition and cause the key to switch from the on position to the off position, which cuts the power steering and the brakes. The letter also said that replacement parts won't be available until the beginning of April and strongly recommended taking all other keys, fobs, or anything else off the key chain until the ignition can be repaired.
